Short URLs

Short URLs are primarily used to shorten long URLs, allowing users on the self-service portal to navigate directly to specific article from BZ, request template, or to submit a request for a specific configuration item (CI).

Short URLs are also ideal for creating QR codes and NFC tags, which can be placed on configuration items (CI) or in locations where users may need support. Administrators of the space and configuration managers can create multiple short URLs simultaneously. These reserved short URLs can be exported and used for mass generation of QR codes or NFC tags.

Anyone with the specialist role within the space can create short URLs in this space to shorten long URLs, making them easier to share with others. Only individuals with the configuration manager role or space administrator role can manage short URLs within the space.
