User Interface Fields
The following fields for the user interface form are listed, along with recommendations for their use.
Name
Enter a name in the Name field that describes the records to be included in the user interface.
Disabled
Set the Disabled checkbox if any of the user interface fields cannot be used to select records from the user interface.
Link
The Link field is automatically set to the value of the Name field, converted to lowercase and with all spaces replaced by underscores. This link can be used by integrations for unique identification of the user interface.
Record Type
Specify the record type that the user interface should contain in the Record Type field.
Status
Select one of the statuses in which records of the type selected in the Record Type field can exist (e.g., “Active” or “Inactive”). The selected status serves as a filter for the user interface. Leave this field blank if you want to include records with any status.
Search Phrase
Use the Search Phrase field to filter records of the type selected in the Record Type field based on a string found in the "Topic" or "Name" fields of those records.
Search Fields
Use the Search Fields field to make specific fields in the user interface available for searching. This field is only available if the record type is a configuration unit (CU).
Metadata Fields
Select the attributes that will be displayed in user interface fields based on user interfaces in the Metadata Fields field. These attributes can then be used in UI extensions in Javascript.
UI Extensions
The UI Extensions field shows UI extensions which include user interface fields that use the user interface to restrict the values users can select in the user interface field.
Filters
Use the Filters field to apply filters to the user interface, limiting the records included in the user interface.
