Broadcast (alert) Fields
The fields of the Broadcast form are listed below and recommendations on how to use each of them are provided.
Image
The Image field displays an icon associated with the selected message type.
Message type
In the Message Type field, select the appropriate icon that will be displayed next to the Broadcast message. The following types are available: Simple, Available, Warning, Information.
Disabled
The Disabled checkbox is set if Broadcast transmission is no longer required.
Language
In the Language field select the text language for the Message field. By default, the language of the message is the language of space. Additional translations may be added for those whose preferred languages differ from the language of the space. If the preferred language differs from the language of the space and any of the translations of the message, then the message will be displayed for such a person in the language of the space. You can add a translation to the message using the Add Translation button located below, and delete it by clicking on the Delete button.
Message
The information that will act as an alert is entered in the Message field. Basic text formatting and hyperlinks can be added in this field.
Visibility
Get started
The date and time of the notification start are indicated in the Start field. The current date and time are set by default. If the notification should start at midnight, specify 00:00.
Ending
The date and time of the end of the notification are indicated in the End field. If you leave this field empty, the alert will be transmitted until the Disabled checkbox is selected. If the notification should end at midnight, specify 24:00. If a "Group of requests" is associated with the notification, the date and time of completion of these requests are set in the "End" field (as soon as they are assigned the status of completed).
Time zone
In the Time Zone field, select the time zone for the date and time specified in the Start and End fields.
Visible to
The Visible to field indicates the target audience for which the alert is intended. The following options are available. All the faces of the space – The alert will be visible to every face of the space. Persons covered by any of our service instances – The alert will be visible to every person covered by any of the service instances belonging to the space. Keep in mind: if an instance of the service is selected that covers people from other spaces, then these people will also see the alert. Persons covered by the following service instances – Select the required service instances, then the alert will be seen by persons covered by the active Service level agreement (SLA). Keep in mind: if an instance of the service is selected that covers people from other spaces, then these people will also see the alert. Space Specialists – The alert is visible to all space specialists. The notification will also be available to people from other spaces who have the role of specialist in this space. Persons from the following organizations and their subsidiaries – select organizations, the persons from which should see the notification. The notification will also be seen by individuals from the subsidiaries of the selected organization. Persons from the following organizations – Select organizations from which persons should see the alert. Persons related to the following site(s) – Select sites, which persons should see the alert. Members of the following teams – Select teams whose members should see the alert. Keep in mind: if a team with participants from other spaces is selected, these participants will also see an alert. Participants in the following skill pools – Select the skill pool whose participants should see the alert. Note: If a skill pool with participants from other spaces is selected, these participants will also see an alert. Space Specialists on requests from the following clients – select one or more customer organizations; the notification will be visible to space specialists in requests received from selected organizations. Keep in mind: if there are people from other spaces with the role of a specialist in the space where the alert was created, then these people will also see the alert when opening a request received from one of the selected organizations.
Requests group
In the Requests Group field, a requests group is selected that end users can subscribe to if they are concerned about the problem for which the alert was created. A request will be created for the end user, which will be placed in this request group.
