Release Fields

The fields of the release form are listed below and recommendations on how to use each of them are provided.

ID

The ID field contains the release ID, which is created automatically when the release is saved for the first time.

Theme (Subject)

A brief description of the release purpose is entered in the Subject field.

Manager

In the Manager field, select the person responsible for coordinating the implementation of the release.

Influence

The Influence field shows the maximum level of influence selected in the release-related workflow tasks. We are talking about the impact on the service instance that will be affected by the release. Please note: degradation of a service instance means that some of its non-core functions are not working, the response time of the service instance is slow, or the backup capabilities of the service are unavailable (for example, in case of server failure), even if the use of the service instance is not affected. An instance of the service is down or unavailable if any part of its core functionality is down.

Completion goal

The Completion Goal field specifies the date and time of the last task of the release-related workflows.

Status

In the Status field, the value is set automatically depending on the status of the release workflows. The following options are possible: Registered – the release workflows have not started yet. In progress – at least one task of the category ‘Risk and Impact', ‘Coordination’ or ‘Implementation’ of the related workflows is currently in progress, and none of the related workflows has the status of ‘Process suspended’. The process is suspended – one or more release workflows are stopped. Completed – All release workflows are completed.

Reason for Completion

In the Reason for Completion field, the value is automatically selected according to the reason for the completion of the release workflows.

Completed in

The Completed in field automatically sets the date and time when the release status is assigned to “Completed”.

The Workflows field lists the release-related workflows.

Comments

Comments

The Comments field lists all the comments added to the release. For each comment, the name of the person who created it and the time of creation are indicated in this field.

Comment

A high-level description of the release workflow results is entered in the Comment field and any information that may be useful to anyone affected by this release is added. It is possible to use basic text formatting in this field.

Attachments

Field Attachments (add attachment) is a link through which you can add an attachment to a comment. You can add multiple attachments.

The Time Accounting Records field lists all the time accounting records of your space related to the tasks of the release workflows.
