Personal Token Fields

The following lists the fields of the personal token form and provides recommendations for their use.

Name

Enter the name of the personal token in the Name field.

Areas

Effect

Specify whether API requests corresponding to the area’s actions and conditions are allowed in the Effect field. The following options are available: Allow – allow corresponding API requests; Deny – deny corresponding API requests.

Actions

Use the Actions field to link an area of action and specific actions on record types. Examples of actions: Request – Read; Entity – Update; Configuration item (CI) – Create. The selected actions can be either allowed or denied depending on the values of the Effect and Conditions fields.

Conditions

Use the Conditions field to restrict an area of action by adding specific conditions that an API request must satisfy. The following conditions are available: Space – the workspace of the API request (i.e., the value of the “X-R-Service-Account” header in the API request).
