Effort Class

Effort Class are used to add additional classification to time entry records, which can affect the calculation of the cost of time spent. If a time entry record has a effort class assigned to it, the cost of time spent is calculated automatically by multiplying the time spent (in hours) by the hourly rate of the person who spent that time, and multiplying by a cost factor specified in the effort class.

If time entry records are used to create invoices for client organizations where time was spent, effort class can be integrated into the financial system to calculate correct invoice amounts.

Only a user with the account administrator role or directory administrator role can manage the classes of effort for this space.
